Meebelo Malama

Meebelo Malama is an Intern with the Sustainable Debt Management (SDM) portfolio at the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD), based in Zambia. A Mandela Rhodes Scholar, she holds a master's degree in development policy and Practice from the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance (University of Cape Town), and an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from UCT; graduating with distinction in both. Meebelo applies her multidisciplinary background and academic excellence to support research on debt sustainability and equitable financial governance. She is committed to advancing economic development across Africa and to shaping a sovereign debt architecture that serves the developmental interests of African citizens.
