AFRODAD and Africa Capacity Building Foundation Sign Landmark Partnership
10 October 2025 (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) - During the 11th Edition of the Africa Think Tank Summit (#2025ATTS) on 10th October, 2025 in Addis Abba, the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).
This strategic partnership is built on a shared vision of strengthening the capacity of governments, think tanks, and civil society organizations (CSOs) on public debt and Public Financial Management (PFM). ACBF, as the African Union's specialized agency for capacity development, brings over 30 years of expertise in advising and supporting African countries, regional economic communities, and institutions on critical capacity-building initiatives.
AFRODADs executive director Jason Braganza said, "This partnership is a significant milestone in bringing together think tanks and civil society. It is my hope our collaboration will continue to strengthen our continent's quest to be Rule Makers!"
Through this partnership, AFRODAD aims to enhance its advocacy initiatives on policy change in debt management and development finance, anchored in a rights-based approach for a prosperous and equitable Africa. This collaboration will enable AFRODAD to further amplify the voice of development in Africa, coordinating with partners at the national, regional, and global levels to drive policy change that supports Africa's development agenda and the realization of Agenda 2063.
